Microscopic observation methods and fiber density measurement methods are unrealistic. We in the filter cloth business need to determine its model within 1 minute, so let's share some practical information with everyone.
To identify filter cloth, it is necessary to first understand several main technical indicators of the filter cloth. The main factors include density, thickness, weight, breathability, and fracture strength. More practical options include density, thickness, weight, and breathability.
1. Let's take a look first. In terms of the color of the filter cloth, the large synthetic fiber filter cloth appears white and has a good luster. The small synthetic fiber filter cloth is dark and gray, and some filter felt such as Nomex has a yellowish color. (Glossiness of filter cloth) Long fiber filter cloth has a smooth and shiny surface, while short fiber filter cloth has a hairy surface. The patterns of the filter cloth, such as diagonal and plain weave, can also help you determine the model. Because some specifications have different patterns, the specifications may also vary.

(Softness) Among them, short fibers such as 208729 are as soft as plush fabric. 734, 747, 758, and 3927 are all woven from the same material, with only differences in thickness and density. 3927 is very rough, sturdy, and not soft. The softness and roughness require you to touch the sample bit by bit and write it down. It's difficult to explain clearly. Density: One is to touch it with your hand, and it's best to count how many threads there are in 10cm. The corresponding filter cloth specifications have their own density coefficients, which can be roughly distinguished by comparing them.
3. Call again. The main purpose is to measure the thickness of the filter cloth, preferably by taking a small piece and weighing it (in meters per square meter).
4. Burn it again. Polyester emits black smoke when burned, while polypropylene emits a green glow when burned. It's hard to say if the others were burned accurately.
